Black Hat SEO

Find out all you need to know about Blackhat SEO

Black hat SEO encompasses a group of actions that aim to increase the rank of your website in Google search engines. So far, so good, but the practices used to achieve this violate the search engine's terms and conditions of service.

There can be two cases in which you should report an attack by SEO Black HAT:

  1. Your website has been hacked by a virus or a Negative SEO attack via SPAM links. If it has been an attack through links that include a keyword you are ranking for, you can report it to Google through Google Search Console Tools. You can even use the tool to remove such malicious links.
  2. In the case of a virus or malware attack, you should request a malware check once you have removed the virus.

Why should we avoid Black Hat SEO tactics?

The Black Hat SEO and their seemingly attractive techniques because of the speed with which some of them can influence your web rankingscan also leave your website out of the Google and other search engines such as Yahoo y Bing. You would be changing a short term strategy with no future in order to momentarily increase your web traffic. You can't afford to be left out of Google because you are in a hurry to get to the top. Be careful with fast climbs to the top, they usually involve taking big risks.

They were usually used to hide links using CSS or Javascript. This was done by using the same font colour as the website background or by setting the font size to zero, also hiding the link in a single character.

Keyword Stuffing

Repeating a keyword within our pillar page or article. The aim is to repeat it many times so that Google detects it as our main keyword. However, when this is put into practice it often affects the comprehension of the text, the level of readability of the text and, ultimately, the usability.

This type of practice is detected by Google as SPAM. To avoid this, the plugin YOAST SEO provides you with metrics that tell you how readable your text is, whether your keyword is repeated too many times so that you can replace it with synonyms or related or complementary keywords, etc.

Spinning

The concept of spinning is based on the manipulation of content production through software that alters a single article in order to generate multiple different versions, such as through the application of synonyms. Unsurprisingly, this method is of no use to the reader, and in addition, Google's algorithms are increasingly able to identify it quickly and frequently.
